My friend, I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and trust that you’re not here merely to ‘troll’. The racism is in her implication that being blonde equates with innocence while being “some black girl” somehow removes that innocence.
There is no race card being played here.
Ugh, this is forever annoying. Rue is clearly described in the book as dark skinned. Yes, Katniss says she reminds her of Prim EXCEPT FOR HER LOOKS! Reminds her being the key word there. KFC reminds me of my Mum, not because she looks like a piece of chicken but because she fucking loves it. Seriously, these people claim to be hardcore fans and they don’t even know what the characters are supposed to look like. I personally think Rue was the cutest fucking kid in the entire movie. Rue, Thresh and Cinna were all PERFECT. So, please, shut the fuck up and go read the book properly this time. Also: GROW THE FUCK UP.
